Case Study: Capgemini achieves six-month staffing visibility and faster time-to-market with Talend Data Services

A Talend Case Study

Preview of the Capgemini Case Study

Optimizing human resources management and becoming more competitive

Capgemini, a global leader in consulting, technology and outsourcing with roughly 190,000 employees, faced a major challenge: after rapid growth and acquisitions the Group had dozens of disparate CRM, HR and other systems, making it difficult to plan and deploy the right people to the right projects. With delivery cycles shortening and more than 20,000 hires a year to manage, Capgemini needed a global, flexible way to anticipate demand and optimize resource planning.

The company adopted an API-driven approach using Talend Data Services to unify systems (CRM moved to Salesforce in three months and rolled out to 40 countries in six months) and integrate about 40 applications, connecting recruiting (SuccessFactors), resume analysis (IBM Watson) and payroll flows. The new APIs handle about 2 million calls per month (up from 15,000) with a 99.59% success rate, deliver a six-month view of staffing needs, speed time-to-market, improve operating performance and supported large-scale recruiting (notably ~20,000 new recruits in India).
