The company needed to give brokers and agents more transparency into listing activity by aggregating large, fast‑growing datasets from brokers, listing portals (Zillow, Realtor.com), lockbox and showing services to answer where listings are being viewed, how often, and which generate leads.
Using Talend Data Integration on AWS, Bright MLS pulls data from 15–20 websites and multiple internal systems into Amazon Redshift (loading 10–15 million records, with peaks of ~4 million per day), combines custom tracking and proprietary algorithms, and surfaces metrics via a self‑service portal. The solution now manages 100–125 million records (growing by millions per day), delivers page views, unique visitors, leads and comparable‑listing analytics to brokers and agents, and has significantly improved transparency and decision‑making.
