Metromile is a U.S.-based digital auto insurer that prices policies by the mile using data-driven models. As the company scaled, analytics were hampered by data scattered across in-house databases and many SaaS platforms, making queries slow and onboarding of new sources time-consuming (previously two to three days).
Metromile deployed Snowflake and Stitch Enterprise (Stitch Data Loader) to centralize nearly 30 data sources, enable log-based replication of large SQL Server databases, and maintain PII controls via Snowflake masking. The result: new integrations set up in about 10 minutes and new sources onboarded in under an hour (vs. days), faster, more reliable analytics, an audit trail for data integrity, and quicker product and marketing insights such as measuring a new fractional insurance offering.
