The ALDO Group, a global footwear and accessories retailer with ~3,000 points of sale in 100+ countries, needed to become “consumer obsessed”: to unify customer profiles across stores, e‑commerce and social channels, move at the speed of retail, and protect personal data while meeting GDPR and other local privacy requirements.
ALDO built a cloud data lake on AWS and used Talend Real‑Time Big Data to ingest, link and prepare raw, structured and unstructured data (S3, EMR) and to enable ML/AI via SageMaker. The solution delivered secure data governance and scalability, enabled precise consumer segmentation, personalized marketing and loyalty programs, and powered product recommendations—improving customer experience and retention.
