GlobalWide Media is a global, data-driven digital marketing company that handles 60 billion ad requests per day across 240,000 websites and 70,000 apps, driving more than 5 million monthly conversions and $3 billion in client sales. After a 2012 acquisition it faced a fragmented ETL landscape and failing tracking platforms—reporting for large data sets could take 30+ minutes or simply hang, leaving campaign insights out of reach.

Working with Pacific Big Data, GWM implemented Talend Data Integration (completed in three months) to consolidate ETL and rebuild its data warehouse pipeline, feeding Tableau on a Vertica cluster. The new setup pre-aggregates data and leverages caching so reports that once took half an hour now run in seconds or minutes, giving the business rapid visibility into impressions, clicks and conversions and enabling faster, data-driven decisions and plans for company-wide rollout and advanced analytics.
