DRG (Decision Resources Group) is a leading provider of healthcare analytics and market intelligence that needed to harness an explosion of data—internal research, millions of EHRs, claims and client data—to deliver faster, more precise insights. Their analysts relied on SQL, but the existing IT stack couldn’t scale to multi‑terabyte/petabyte volumes or meet cloud‑hosted, ACID‑compliant distributed SQL performance requirements, so DRG set out to build a Real World Data Platform.

DRG implemented Talend with the Snowflake cloud data warehouse on AWS (using S3, Spark, Parquet and Tableau) to provide low‑code data integration, governance and quality controls. The new platform onboarded 100+ TB in three months and now holds several hundred terabytes, delivering 150% greater productivity at the same cost and supporting five times more users—enabling faster analytics for patient segmentation, journey tracking and physician targeting and scaling the business with lower overhead.
