Enabling consumers to compare financial products simply and quickly

MoneySuperMarket (MSM) is the UK’s leading price-comparison website, helping consumers compare insurance, financial products and home services to find better-value offers. Faced with the need to create a personalized, multi-channel customer experience and drive faster quote times and smoother paths to purchase, MSM needed to modernize its data integration and warehousing so diverse product data could be aggregated, analyzed and delivered in real time.

MSM implemented Talend Data Management (ETL and Data Quality) as part of a cloud-first, hybrid data-warehouse architecture on AWS, using Talend Administration Center, open-source schedulers and cloud services (RDS, S3, EC2) to automate pipelines and scale processing. The result was faster quoting and an improved path to purchase, richer comparison tools, daily finance and marketing reporting for channel forecasting, and scalable data-mining and analytics (up to 11TB) to support segmentation, modeling and more targeted customer experiences.
