Case Study: Conrad Electronic SE achieves minute-fast product-feed delivery to omni-channel partners with Talend

A Talend Case Study

Preview of the Conrad Case Study

Delivering accurate product data that boosts sales

Conrad Electronic SE is a Berlin-founded (1923) omni-channel electronics retailer serving consumers and businesses across Europe with over one million B2B and ~750,000 B2C articles, 30 stores and millions of annual site visits and shipments. The company struggled to deliver complete, accurate, minute-by-minute product data to numerous external channels and partners—manual processes and legacy tools couldn’t keep up with complex SAP data, growing volume, and the need for many customized feeds and APIs.

Conrad implemented Talend Data Integration and Talend ESB (with Avantgarde Labs), building a middleware layer (Apache Karaf, ActiveMQ) that ingests SAP and other sources into a 2TB Oracle Exadata e-commerce warehouse and exports 500+ product-data feeds daily in multiple formats. The Talend-powered platform yields near-real-time updates, a self-service “Conrad Data Centrifuge” for business users to build catalogs, and scalable B2B capabilities (conrad.biz), making Talend the backbone of Conrad’s e-commerce data supply and enabling automated, individualized catalogs for partners.
