D+M Group, maker of audio brands like Denon, Marantz, Boston Acoustics and the HEOS wireless system, needed to better understand customers and product performance in a highly competitive, fast-growing market where “performance is everything.” The company had IoT-rich activation and streaming data plus multiple regional ERPs and other systems, but its existing ETL tool couldn’t integrate those diverse sources to deliver timely audience and product insights.
D+M implemented Talend Data Management (Data Integration and Data Quality) to pull data from AWS IoT, Oracle CRM and ERP, SAP, appFigures, Google Analytics, EDI and more into an IBM DB2 warehouse. The result: a 500GB warehouse ingesting about 500K records daily, faster time-to-results, more targeted marketing, enhanced product performance visibility, and improved demand planning, supply chain and overall customer experience.
