areeba is a Lebanon-based financial technology company that provides payment solutions for banks, merchants, governments and consumers. Facing strict regulatory requirements (BDL, PCI DSS, GDPR) and a mix of structured and unstructured legacy data, areeba’s challenge was to build an enterprise data lake, enforce organization-wide data governance, and create a data-driven culture so all teams could use trusted data for innovation.

areeba implemented Talend Data Fabric (Data Integration, Catalog, Quality, Stewardship, Preparation) to ingest and standardize data from varied sources, establish stewardship workflows, and enable self-service access. The result is a governed 500 GB data lake (1–2 GB ingested daily), real-time fraud monitoring (data ingested every 5–10 seconds), AML and analytics applications, improved compliance, and faster development of internal and customer-facing services.
