University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) is a $19B integrated health system and Pennsylvania’s largest nongovernmental employer with more than 80,000 staff. Facing rapid growth, decentralised recruiting, siloed talent pools, fragmented and non‑mobile career sites, and intense competition for clinical talent, UPMC needed a way to increase candidate flow, centralize recruiters and data, engage passive candidates, and improve conversion without disrupting hiring.

UPMC implemented Talemetry’s full‑cycle recruitment marketing platform, integrated with PeopleSoft/Taleo, using a phased rollout that delivered improved candidate experience in 60 days and centralized CRM in 120 days. Talemetry provided mobile‑optimized career sites, automated job distribution, a shared talent pool, targeted campaigns and analytics; results included nearly 1M career‑site visits (avg. 5.25 minutes) in six months and a nurse email campaign that generated ~1,800 applicants in the first month, while analytics exposed an ATS bottleneck that led to further apply‑workflow improvements.
