A Tala Security Case Study
Gesa Credit Union, one of Washington State’s largest credit unions with over 255,000 members and more than $4 billion in assets, needed to secure its growing set of websites and web applications without hurting the customer experience. The team wanted protection against Magecart and other client-side attacks, as well as support for compliance with NCUA and DFI requirements. They partnered with Tala Security to address these browser-side risks.
Tala Security deployed its Active Protection mode across Gesa’s key web properties to secure scripts, defend against XSS, SQL injection, code injection, and Magecart-style threats, and improve visibility into indicators of compromise. The solution also helped Gesa strengthen its Content Security Policy, support audit readiness, and use code reviews before releases. The result was strong protection with near-zero performance impact and a smoother user experience, with no disruption to login, payment, or checkout flows.
