Deutsche Bahn, Germany’s major railway company, wanted to encourage under-27-year-olds to spend their summer holidays in Germany instead of traveling abroad. To support the launch of its Sommer-Ticket, Deutsche Bahn worked with Takumi to engage this young audience with an authentic, social-first influencer campaign.

Takumi briefed 63 influencers to create side-by-side travel posts comparing a destination abroad with a strikingly similar scene in Germany, paired with personal stories and the Sommer-Ticket offer. The campaign reached over 4.1 million users across 63 posts and achieved an average engagement rate of 2.8%, while Takumi’s digital usage rights helped Deutsche Bahn reuse the content across paid social and display to further improve ROI.
