Hugging Face adopts zero trust networking to protect critical machine-learning tooling with Tailscale

Hugging Face, the machine learning collaboration platform, needed a more efficient and secure way to standardize remote access across a fast-growing, highly distributed environment. Its team had been using many separate tools to access servers and resources, which created overhead and made it difficult to support remote employees with consistent zero-trust security.

Tailscale provided a universal secure remote access solution integrated with Okta, SCIM, ACLs, and GitHub Actions, enabling SSO with MFA, automated user provisioning/deprovisioning, least-privilege access, and ephemeral keys for CI/CD workflows. With Tailscale, Hugging Face streamlined network management, strengthened security across clouds and environments, and saved the team tens of hours per month while reducing attack surface.
