ECI Telecom Uses ConfD Basic to Implement Programmability

ECI Telecom, a global provider of ELASTIC network solutions for service providers, utilities, and data center/cloud providers, needed a better way to ensure interoperability across the large, multi-vendor ecosystems it serves. To improve its ability to sell into these environments, ECI turned to Tail-f and its ConfD Basic solution to add programmability to existing network management systems.

Tail-f’s ConfD Basic enabled ECI to use YANG data models and NETCONF for more automated, vendor-neutral northbound interfaces, reducing reliance on CLI-based scripting and cutting errors and development time. ECI also validated its implementation through the Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO) Interoperability Validation program, giving it greater confidence in full interoperability and highly automated, configurable network operations.
