CGS Tower Networks, a leading manufacturer of network visibility solutions based in Israel, needed a way to rapidly scale product development and create advanced appliances with centralized management. To support multiple interfaces such as NETCONF, REST, CLI, Web, and SNMP while keeping costs and complexity down, the company turned to Tail-f and its ConfD framework.

With Tail-f’s ConfD, CGS Tower Networks built a unified management layer using centralized YANG behavioral definitions and a common database across all interfaces. The result was faster development and release cycles: within less than a year, CGS launched two new products, and it expects to shorten future development cycles to as little as three months on new hardware platforms.
