AO is a leading online electricals retailer operating in the UK and Germany that wanted to improve conversion rates and help customers "buy right first time" amid pandemic and cost-of-living pressures. AO engaged Taggstar to explore social proof messaging as a softer, information-led way to guide purchase decisions rather than hard sales messaging.
Taggstar ran a six-week full-funnel evaluation (starting February 2022) deploying 11 social proof message types across AO’s journey and delivered a 38.2X ROI, prompting AO to sign a 12-month contract. Taggstar’s solution improved customer experience and set the stage for further enhancements such as aggregated review messaging, machine learning tests, and expansion into other channels.
