When the COVID-19 pandemic drove a sudden surge in organic traffic, the publisher faced the challenge of engaging that audience and effectively monetizing the increased visits without compromising user experience.

Working with Taboola, The Cinemaholic implemented the Taboola Feed and the Explore More feature on article pages to personalize sponsored and editorial recommendations. Between March 2020 and June 2021 the site saw a 285% increase in ad RPM, a 117% lift in organic CTR, and a 324% rise in overall ad revenue; Explore More also delivered roughly 100,000 additional pageviews every 30 days.
