Sony Pictures Entertainment Thailand Uses Taboola Video To Promote Upcoming Spider-Man, Goosebumps and Venom Movies

Sony Pictures Entertainment Thailand, part of the global SPE family, reopened its Thai office in 2017 and faced the challenge of boosting awareness and ticket sales for upcoming releases (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Goosebumps: Haunted Halloween, and Venom). Traditional trailer distribution and social channels had generated awareness but not the ticketing impact SPE Thailand wanted, so they sought a channel to reach broader audiences on premium publisher sites.

SPE Thailand used Taboola Video to distribute movie trailers targeted to mobile and tablet users in Bangkok, supported by Taboola’s account management for audience targeting and creative advice. The campaign delivered more than 194,000 completed video views and over 411,000 impressions, and SPE Thailand plans to expand the partnership and use Taboola Video Studio for future campaigns.
