MHS Digital, the digital arm of Medienholding Süd (part of the Südwestdeutsche Medienholding group), runs major regional titles including Stuttgarter Nachrichten and Stuttgarter Zeitung. After working with other recommendation providers that underperformed, MHS Digital sought to boost revenue and engagement from organic content across its sites.
MHS Digital implemented Taboola Feed across multiple platforms, starting with Stuttgarter Nachrichten and Stuttgarter Zeitung, and customized the feed for a better user experience. The change delivered a 37% uplift in RPM, organic CTR gains of 26% (Stuttgarter Nachrichten) and 19% (Stuttgarter Zeitung), increased scroll depth, a rise in subscriptions via Taboola’s audience exchange, and now accounts for roughly 5–7% of reach on those titles, with plans to expand the feed across the network.
