MEMOCO is a Japan-based gift information site (founded 2012) that helps users find presents and gift ideas, primarily serving women aged 20–40. After testing multiple recommendation engines, the publisher struggled to drive stable revenue and scale audience engagement and sought a content-recommendation solution that would boost both monetization and content recirculation.
MEMOCO implemented Taboola Feed’s continuous-scroll recommendations along with in-feed video and Taboola’s Descender Widget and “Start From Slider” features to improve user engagement. Within three months they saw a 409% increase in overall revenue, sponsored-content CTR rose 148%, and organic-content CTR rose 146%.
