Grupo Crónica, a Buenos Aires–based multimedia publisher with titles including Crónica, BAE Negocios, Veintitrés and Diario Show, needed to boost recirculation, organic engagement, and revenue across its eight sites during Argentina’s 2023 election period. The publisher sought a scalable way to keep readers on-site and increase page views during a high-traffic, high-stakes news cycle.
Grupo Crónica replaced all recommendation units with the Taboola Feed and deployed Taboola’s Organic Recirculation, Audience Exchange and Explore More mobile re‑engagement to cross‑promote personalized editorial and sponsored content across its network. During the election period Taboola drove 40% of site traffic, delivered a 210% CTR increase on Cronica.com.ar, a 68% rise in organic CTR across sites and a 20% increase in views per visit, and helped the publisher expand audience monetization beyond Argentina.
