FOX SPORTS Australia Uses Taboola to Increase Revenue and Engagement

FOX SPORTS Australia, the country’s leading sports broadcaster and operator of the top multi-sports website and app, needed to better balance organic and sponsored content while increasing user engagement and revenue. Lacking an in-house solution for scalable, snackable content experiences, they sought a turnkey partner that would require minimal resources to deploy and test.

They implemented Taboola Feed across apps, the mobile site and Google AMP, integrated via Taboola’s Mobile SDK, and used Taboola Newsroom and A/B testing to optimize content. The rollout drove a 37% increase in organic CTR, a 31% rise in traffic to recirculated content, and more than doubled overall mobile revenue, with over half of recommendation revenue coming from smartphones.
