Europa Press, Spain’s largest independent news agency, needed a way to dramatically increase online revenue and reader engagement on its news portal. After other monetization approaches fell short, the publisher sought to raise pages-per-visitor and revenue-per-pageview, fill article-page real estate for an international audience, and boost organic CTR without degrading user experience.
Europa Press implemented Taboola Feed — an endless, social-style feed of personalized organic and sponsored content and video — which increased time on site and engagement while allowing the newsroom to focus on content. Rolled out on most article pages with plans for the homepage, Taboola Feed produced a 78% uplift in revenue and a 46% increase in organic CTR; RPM was 2–3× higher after card 20 and organic CTR rose about 40% deeper in the feed.
