Eargo, a Mountain View–based direct-to-consumer maker of comfortable, virtually invisible rechargeable hearing aids, needed to reach a new, highly targeted audience—people with mild to moderate hearing loss interested in hearing health—at scale while hitting their target cost per lead (CPL). Search channels weren’t delivering the quality or scale they required.

They used the Taboola discovery platform to drive traffic to their homepage and product pages with multiple creative variants and retargeting, and enabled Taboola Smart Bid to automate bidding. Smart Bid delivered an almost immediate 20% drop in CPL and freed up optimization time, and overall Taboola drove a 30% decrease in CPA and a 35% increase in purchase conversion rate.
