Austria Tourism (Österreich Werbung) promotes Austria as a vacation destination and supports regional tourism partners. Facing low engagement from users who hadn't considered Austria, their challenge was to increase web traffic and awareness of travel deals and drive higher-quality visits to campaign landing pages.
They added the Taboola Discovery Platform to reach new audiences on premium open-web sites with native formats, geo-targeting Germany and optimizing desktop, mobile, and publisher placements. The result: a 33% performance lift versus display, a 2% drop in bounce rate, higher CTRs and conversions, lower CPC, half a billion impressions since 2017, and Taboola generating 50% of Austria Tourism’s native-ad leads.
