AIG Israel Uplifted Purchase Intent for Mortgage Insurance by 30% with Taboola Video

AIG Israel, the direct-to-consumer arm of global insurer AIG, needed to overcome consumer inertia and bank defaults on mortgage insurance by clearly communicating the cost savings of its mortgage insurance products. Their challenge was to remove purchase barriers and educate prospective buyers in a market where mortgage insurance is mandatory and often accepted without comparing alternatives.

AIG used Taboola Video to distribute two creatives—a cost-focused animated spot and a commercial with sports commentator Ron Kaufman—and retargeted users who viewed at least 60% of the videos with sponsored-content landing pages. The campaign reached 400,000 people, uplifted purchase intent by 30% in 30 days, and, among five video channels, accounted for 50% of new-customer journeys that led to purchase.
