Zalora is a leading online fashion destination in Asia, serving millions of customers and more than 3,000 local brands across six markets. As a "data-first" retailer with about 500 internal Tableau users, Zalora needed to help brand partners quickly make informed marketing and merchandising decisions during COVID‑19—despite limited demographic and browsing data in Southeast Asia—and to foster a shared data culture across partners.
In six months Zalora built and launched Trender, an embedded Tableau analytics solution that turns millions of transactions into visual dashboards showing shopper demographics, regional demand, conversion and product trends. Brands use Trender to target audiences, refine assortments and plan store openings; early users praised its easy filtering and real-time insights, and Zalora strengthened its data-driven operations and accelerated partners’ data maturity.
