Trunk Club cuts reporting time from weeks to days with self-service analytics

Trunk Club is an online personal-styling service that ships curated "trunks" to customers, a process that depends on timely, accurate data to keep stylists and operations aligned. Before adopting a new analytics approach the company relied on spreadsheets and long data-warehouse projects, which made reporting slow (often taking weeks), limited visibility for warehouse and sales teams, and created friction between business users and IT.

By rolling out Tableau (Server and ~30 Desktop licenses) and positioning the BI team as a bridge between users and IT, Trunk Club enabled self-service analytics, rapid prototyping, and governed sandboxes for publishing. The result: reporting time fell from weeks to days, warehouse and sales teams gained live dashboards that drove productivity and friendly competition, analysts could blend and publish data faster, and staff refocused more on customers and decision-making.
