A Tableau Software Case Study
The Danish Olympic Committee, led by project manager Peter Gottlieb, needed to move from siloed reports and gatekeepers to fact-based decision making across 61 federations and a 70-person staff. Athletic consultants lacked easy access to membership, activity and coaching data, making it hard to target resources and develop athletes effectively.
They introduced Tableau, starting with a small pilot that grew to 26 Desktop users and broad adoption through workshops and federation collaboration. By visualizing membership and activity (including mapped trends), speeding analysis that once took weeks in Excel, and launching 12 targeted projects, the committee shortened insight timelines, improved consultant–federation conversations, and began scaling BI sharing across the organization.
