The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is Europe’s largest single-site cancer center, treating over 44,000 patients a year. Clinicians previously struggled to surface nursing noncompliance in time—issues were often identified a day or month later, missing the critical six-hour window for patient assessments.

By publishing ward-by-ward nurse assessment dashboards on Tableau Server (with Active Directory controlling access), nurses now monitor assessments in real time and resolve noncompliance before it becomes a problem. The self-service BI approach has cut request turnaround, driven wider departmental dashboard use (about 500 hits/month for the nursing site), boosted data discovery and engagement, reduced developer dependency, and supported faster, better patient-care decisions.
