Sveriges Television (SVT), Sweden’s largest TV broadcaster, needed faster, clearer insights from minute-by-minute people‑meter data, website metrics and surveys to inform programming decisions. Mikael Sterner’s Audience Research team was hampered by slow, manual Excel workflows and struggled to present actionable findings to time‑pressed executives.
By adopting Tableau (six Desktop and 10 Server licenses), the team built interactive dashboards, live visualizations and scatter/line charts that let them explore data in real time and present results directly instead of static PowerPoints. The change made analysis much faster and more creative, improved communication with the commissioning board, and enabled quicker, clearer programming decisions.
