South African retailer Shoprite gets a competitive edge with Tableau

South African retail giant Shoprite sought to strengthen its business intelligence and gain a competitive edge by improving how it visualises and shares data across internal and external stakeholders. After a competitive RFP process, Shoprite selected SlipstreamBI to deploy Tableau for fast-to-implement, easy-to-use dashboards that connect directly to its data sources and reveal patterns and trends.

Shoprite rolled out interactive Tableau dashboards in four business areas, enabling faster insight and enterprise reporting, with plans to expand into supply chain, supplier and buyer reporting and executive dashboards. The initiative has improved decision-making by bringing data to life and positioning Shoprite ahead of competitors in BI capabilities.
