Case Study: SOS International achieves data-driven global service improvements with Tableau Software

A Tableau Software Case Study

Preview of the SOS International Case Study

SOS International uses Tableau to position data at the centre of its global service offerings for travellers

SOS International is a leading Nordic assistance organisation operating 24/7 alarm centres across Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland to support travellers and insurance partners worldwide. Faced with inconsistent, spreadsheet-based reporting and fragmented numbers across meetings, the company needed a single source of truth and better visibility into operational data—especially large volumes of phone and roadside-assistance data—to improve responsiveness and control costs while meeting regulatory requirements.

SOS built a modern data warehouse with Data Inc. and deployed Tableau Server (branded internally as SOS Report) as a central analytics hub, now used by about 600 unique users—roughly 60% of the workforce. The platform enables self-service analytics, tighter data governance, and faster insight into vehicle-breakdown hotspots, alarm-centre peak hours and cost outliers, driving better decisions, improved service delivery and ongoing moves toward predictive analytics to further reduce costs and enhance customer care.
