Singapore Sports Institute sets its sights on gold with Tableau’s high-performing data analytics

Singapore Sports Institute (SSI), part of Singapore’s Vision 2030 to develop homegrown athletes and coaches, faced fragmented, manual data practices—coaches, sports scientists, physiologists and nutritionists kept separate Excel records—which made it hard to link diet, sleep and training variables to peak performance and led to slow, error-prone athlete selection for major events.

SSI adopted Tableau to create an intuitive, shared analytics ecosystem that unifies datasets, delivers fast dashboards and is usable by all stakeholders. Today Tableau supports analysis for 70+ high-performance athletes across sports, enabling precise, data-driven training adjustments and selection forecasts (down to the millionth of a second), faster decision-making and better alignment across teams.
