Seeing Every Student Succeed with Equal Opportunity Schools

Equal Opportunity Schools (EOS) works to close achievement gaps for low‑income students and students of color by finding, enrolling, and tracking 100,000 high school students in AP and IB programs nationwide. Supporting the White House’s My Brother’s Keeper initiative and partnering with more than 70 schools, EOS faced the challenge of tracking vast, varied data and understanding factors beyond test scores that affect student success.

Tableau provided software, training, and the largest grant in Tableau Foundation history, with InterWorks and Tableau Zen Masters helping build customized dashboards. These tools let EOS view progress at system, school, and student levels, incorporate survey data on academic tenacity, and adopt a more targeted analytics approach—dramatically improving how schools identify needs and support student success.
