Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), a consortium of cancer specialists from Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle Children’s Hospital, and UW Medicine, struggled to track clinic capacity, wait times, treatment scheduling, and other operational metrics using fragmented Excel spreadsheets. That limited visibility made it hard for clinicians and managers to measure service effectiveness, allocate infusion bays and resources, and monitor patient experience while maintaining HIPAA-compliant data security.

SCCA implemented Tableau (3,000 licensed users) with secure connections to Epic, Cerner, Cisco and other sources, building dashboards that track infusion utilization, appointment phases, cancellations, and expected vs. actual treatment times.
