Rosetta Stone, a leader in interactive language-learning technology, was collecting hundreds of millions of transactions daily and trying to become more data-driven across the company. With a small BI team and a two-week queue for large and ad-hoc analytics requests, business users were stuck with slow, manual data dumps and limited visibility into sales, finance and customer behavior.

By deploying Tableau with training and best-practice guidance from InterWorks, Rosetta Stone built self-service dashboards, blended Salesforce and financial systems, and trained about 400 server consumers (including roughly 70% of the finance team). The result: analytics turnaround dropped from two weeks to about one day, operational and financial teams gained faster, deeper insights for pricing, marketing and customer outreach, and the BI team’s backlog and development rework were dramatically reduced.
