Providence St. Joseph Health is a 51‑hospital system with more than 100,000 caregivers serving millions of patients annually. Providence implemented enterprise Tableau dashboards, led by a clinician-led analytics team, to provide governed, self-service visualizations that drill from system-level metrics down to individual hospitals, units and patients. The work delivered measurable savings and quality gains: a $76 reduction in bone‑cement cost per knee replacement (~$3M), a $297 reduction in cost per case in year one, and roughly $20M in total cost-of-care savings in the first year, along with improved transparency and clinician adoption.
