PATH Leading the 'Visualize No Malaria' Movement in Zambia

PATH, in partnership with the Tableau Foundation, launched the five-year "Visualize No Malaria" campaign in Zambia to tackle a persistent public-health challenge: malaria kills hundreds of thousands yearly and local community health workers currently detect only about half of cases. To eliminate the disease, responders need faster, data-driven deployment of diagnostics, bed nets, and personnel across the country.

The initiative supplies software, training, and funding so health workers report cases in real time and Zambia’s Ministry of Health uses interactive Tableau dashboards to visualize outbreaks, prioritize resources, and monitor team performance. By enabling rapid, informed responses, the program aims to contain outbreaks, expand malaria-free zones nationwide, and create a scalable model for global elimination.
