Medway Youth Trust is a charity supporting vulnerable young people in the Medway area of England. Faced with large, mixed datasets (about 80% unstructured text from advisor notes and school records) and difficulty communicating predictive-model outputs to non-technical staff, the trust needed a way to reliably identify who was most at risk and help advisors act quickly—previously they relied on static Excel reports.

By integrating predictive analytics and text‑mining with Tableau dashboards, MYT visualizes propensity scores and joins school, college and case‑note data so advisors can see who to target, when and where. The interactive views have increased frontline ownership and coordination, improved resource allocation and funding bids, and helped the trust demonstrate impact (recognized by a Gartner BI Excellence award) while enabling future planning of interventions across the youth lifecycle.
