MapCase Media GmbH builds the MAPtoSNOW, MAPtoHIKE and MAPtoBIKE apps that record GPS tracks and collect in‑the‑moment feedback from more than 200,000 skiers, hikers and cyclists. This rich combination of geolocation, survey and social data created strong demand from tourism operators and sports brands, but MapCase faced the challenge of turning continuous, high‑volume data streams into actionable insights quickly—manual analysis once took almost four days.

MapCase implemented Tableau Server with data stored in Amazon Redshift and supplemented by social, web and hotel‑rating sources to create embedded, interactive dashboards marketed as MountLytics. Tableau’s speed, ease of use and lower cost versus competitors cut analysis time to near real time, accelerated internal adoption, and helped MapCase win tourism customers, broaden analytics use cases (loyalty, engagement, marketing) and confidently scale into new markets.
