By adopting Tableau the council created interactive visualizations that non‑experts can build and explore, breaking down silos and raising the profile of data‑driven decision making. Dashboard production dropped from months to hours (ward dashboards now take 2–3 hours), and a 7,000‑response budget consultation was published as an interactive tool filtered by age, gender and area, improving public feedback and helping leaders make better decisions.
