Gyeonggi Infectious Disease Control Center (GIDCC) fights disease more efficiently with Tableau

Gyeonggi Infectious Disease Control Center (GIDCC) is a Korean non-profit that prevents and manages infectious diseases at the regional level. Faced with fragmented data, manual Excel-based workflows and slow, repetitive reporting, GIDCC needed an economical BI solution to make disease information more intuitive for both public health professionals and the general public.

Working with Tableau and partner PLANIT, GIDCC built a shared data warehouse and interactive dashboards (Server and Tableau Public) with automated refreshes and mobile views for field workers, enabling mapping and deeper analysis of 20–30 diseases daily. The change cut weekly reporting time by 89% (from 2–3 hours to about 20 minutes), shortened daily exploratory work to under an hour, improved collaboration with government and health centers, and expanded public access to actionable disease information.
