Griffith University simplifies analytics to foster a data culture

Griffith University, a large research-intensive university, needed a simpler way to manage growing analytics demands across research, teaching, staff, and student data. Its legacy BI tool was too complex to maintain, especially as data volumes increased, and the university wanted to build a stronger data culture with easier-to-use dashboards. Tableau Software was brought in to help replace that system with Tableau Server.

Tableau Software implemented a more flexible analytics environment and helped Griffith University build over 150 dashboards connected to curated warehouse and SQL data. The result was reduced infrastructure complexity, faster and easier dashboard management, and broader adoption across the university, with 1,600 employees now using Tableau and about one-third of staff engaging with analytics.
