FIAP students learn critical business skills with Tableau

FIAP, a São Paulo–based technology university, needed a practical way to teach MBA students business intelligence: how to ask smart business questions and answer them with data while linking theory to hands‑on practice without heavy preparation. The challenge was to give students tools and workflows they could learn quickly and apply across courses and in the workplace.

Professor Danilo adopted Tableau’s drag‑and‑drop interface and built coursework around data storytelling — requiring multiple dashboards, explanatory and exploratory views, and real‑world business problems. As a result, students quickly produce meaningful analyses, carry Tableau into other disciplines and their jobs, course engagement and satisfaction have risen over the past two years (confirmed in polls), and FIAP plans to expand the curriculum with tools like Vizable.
