Experian uses Tableau’s deep analytics to deliver targeted community care during the COVID-19 pandemic

Experian, a global information services company, needed a fast way to help public organisations identify and protect communities most vulnerable to COVID-19—pinpointing areas with high concentrations of elderly residents, people living alone or low household incomes—to direct care and support where it was needed most.

They quickly built Experian Safeguard, a fully customisable Tableau dashboard combining open-source data with Experian’s ConsumerView, deployed on Tableau Server in AWS and delivered in just two weeks. The free tool is now used by 70+ public organisations (local authorities, NHS Trusts, charities) to produce heat maps and targeted insights, providing scalable, life-saving guidance for community care and service planning.
