EMC, a provider of big-data and cloud solutions, gathers large volumes of customer information from surveys, forums, and everyday interactions. Ahead of its annual conference, EMC World, the Total Customer Experience team was tasked with showing customers how that data drives improvements — and the demonstration had to be interactive and visually compelling.
The team used Tableau on touchscreen displays to create an interactive analytics experience that let attendees build and explore visualizations in seconds, including a 24‑hour field-service view with filterable regions and products. The dashboards drew crowds, invited hands-on exploration, and gave EMC staff a platform to explain how customer feedback is used for continuous improvement — a clear hit with attendees and the EMC team.
