intelliAd, a performance-marketing platform used by agencies and advertisers to track and optimize online campaigns, faced slow, non-interactive reporting workflows. Head of Data Science David Müller explains that reports built in Excel were time-consuming and limited the team’s ability to explore data and join demographic factors, which constrained client insights.
By adopting Tableau (notably version 8.1) the team moved to drag-and-drop, interactive reporting that halved development time and became part of everyday work—splitting effort roughly 50/50 between code and Tableau. The result: faster report delivery, easier integration with customers’ Tableau servers, and more frequent “Eureka” moments as clients explore campaign performance by gender, region and other dimensions.
