A Tableau Software Case Study
ConSol* is a German IT full-service provider that relied on ERP extracts and Excel-based reports from a single controlling employee, which caused critical project and financial reports to take up to four weeks. Existing BI tools were too complex or inflexible, creating a reporting bottleneck that delayed time-sensitive decisions and forced executives to do their own ad-hoc analyses from static data dumps.
ConSol* implemented Tableau’s self-service analytics—deploying Desktop to key decision makers, Reader for colleagues and Tableau Server for broader access—so users can build and explore reports themselves. As a result, reports that once took weeks are now produced within an hour, about 30 employees regularly use Tableau, day-to-day decision making has improved, the controlling team can focus on higher-value work, and new use cases (like server-log analysis) have emerged while access control integrates with existing security.
